"We purchased a new, old stock, Berger-Lahr WDPM controller and FT keypad from MI-Motion with the goal of replacing an inconsistently behaving production unit. Bench testing the new controller in our lab ended up being an ordeal that only an electrical engineer could appreciate. After fabricating programming cables, exporting code off of the old controller, installing the code on the new unit, and translating a fair amount of German, our effort to get the new controller up and running was not progressing well. Our original controller was still having intermittent problems and so was the new one, but each was behaving differently.

Throughout this ordeal, a fair amount of time was spent on the phone with MI-Motion technical. Their experience with the equipment was instrumental at several points in the project and we would not have been successful without their assistance.

In our case, it turned out that a seemingly unrelated component was the root cause of the problem and was making it appear that there was a controller problem when there was not.
